Zelda is a Partner in the firm’s Finance Practice Group.
She holds a Master of Laws in Banking and Finance from the London School of Economics, and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Bristol.
She is admitted to practise in Nigeria and in England &Wales. She began her career in the banking group of the international law firm, Clifford Chance LLP in London and Milan where she worked on various structured finance and capital markets transactions.
Prior to joining Templars, Zelda worked as a Deputy Executive on the Legal Team of UBA Capital (formerly UBA Global Markets) where her role included advising on transactions such as the first-to-market RMBS structure in West Africa, the first-to-market CLN product in Nigeria and various sub-sovereign bonds. She has extensive experience advising clients on syndicated lending, leveraged acquisition structures, RBLs, securitization, capital markets offerings, bank re-structuring as well as domestic & cross-border public and private M&A.
Zelda is the co-author of the Nigerian Chapter of the International Banking Regulation Review for 2010 & 2011 published by Law Business Research UK and sits on the FMDQ OTC Exchange’s Debt Capital Markets Sub-Committee on Regulation Consolidation.
She has additional responsibility for the Continuing Legal Education initiative at Templars including such matters as knowledge management, legal training & research and current awareness of legal issues.
