Olanrewaju Awe is a key Associate in the firm’s Real Estate and Dispute Resolution groups. His practice focuses on the transactional and dispute resolution aspects of the Nigerian oil and gas sector, Nigerian real estate sector and general commercial law practice. He also regularly advises a range of clients on real estate corporate advisory.
He graduated with a Second-Class Upper from the University of Sheffield and holds a Master of Law degree in Energy and Natural Resources Law from Queen Mary, University of London.
A Selection Of Relevant Experience
- Advising on an on-going basis the promoters of Alaro Free Zone, as project counsel for the development, construction and real estate requirements for the Alaro Free Zone.
- Representing a brewery in an arbitration arising from the “tariff variation” provisions of a Power Purchase Agreement between the company and its gas suppliers.
- Representing an international oil and gas company in an arbitration, instituted by its contractor, over the contractor’s claims to additional payments under an Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation Contract.
- Representing an international Power generation company in a suit for the declaration of title to a parcel of land measuring about 60 Hectares.
