Templars has once again emerged the top winners at the 2016 Law Digest Africa Awards winning a total of three trophies which include the Managing Partner of the Year award, Banking & Finance Team of the Year and Power, Energy & Natural Resources Team of the Year.
The 2016 awards presentation ceremony which was held in Lagos, Nigeria on Friday 4 November, 2016 was attended by top law firms across Nigeria and Africa. The 2016 Awards entry process witnessed submissions and nominations from top law firms from 9 countries across Africa. The firm was shortlisted as finalists in 7 out of the 9 categories it was eligible to participate in and went on to win three awards, going home with more trophies than any other participant.
This year’s recognition is a testament to the firm’s remarkable growth and prominence, following its success at last year’s award where it won the Power, Energy & Natural Resources Team of the Year award. Earlier during the year, the firm had also won four awards at the ESQ Awards 2016 (read here).

The awards ceremony was hosted by industry publication, Law Digest Africa to ‘honour excellence in the African legal services market by recognising the contributions of individual lawyers, law firms and in-house teams, large and small equally.’ The judging panel comprised of leading industry practitioners.
