The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has introduced new regulations under the Nigerian Communications Act 2003 to enhance consumer protection and service quality in the telecom sector. Updates include mandatory consumer codes, faster response times, extended record retention, and stricter equipment approval standards.

Telecom providers must now meet updated Quality of Service standards or face fines up to N15,000,000, affecting operational costs and regulatory compliance.
