Adedayo Adegbola is an Associate at TEMPLARS with expertise in handling complex commercial disputes. Adedayo’s experience spans a broad array of disputes, including banking disputes, competition and consumer protection disputes, telecommunications and government policy disputes, as well as tax disputes.
He completed his undergraduate studies in Law (LL.B. Hons) with an upper second-class Honours from Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU). During his time at OAU, he held significant positions of service, including the president of the Student Council on Legal Aid.
He demonstrates an exceptional ability in handling intricate legal challenges, particularly in complex disputes involving multi-national companies.

- Represented a leading telecommunication company in anti-competition disputes and provided strategic legal defence on the environmental impact of over 2,500 Base Transceiver Stations across Nigeria.
- Key member of the team that represented the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on the suits challenging the legality of the Naira notes redesign and the CBN’s power to make withdrawal limit regulations in Nigeria, before the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
- Worked as a key member of the legal team representing the Federal Government of Nigeria in high-stakes litigation against several international oil corporations, seeking the recovery of revenue exceeding $4,000,000.00(Four million United States dollars) arising from the under-declaration of exported crude oil from Nigerian shores.
- A key member of the team represented a state government at the Supreme Court in a suit arising over a dispute on the revenue accruable to the state from crude produced in shared oil fields that span across three states.
- Representing an International Oil Company in relation to the deductibility of gas flaring fees under the Petroleum Profits Tax Act, including the interpretation and application of relevant statutory provisions and regulatory guidelines.
- Part of the legal team that challenged a state government’s authority to impose a twelve billion communications tax on commercial banks in Nigeria
- Represented a leading telecommunication company regarding the scope and limitations of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission’s statutory powers in the telecommunications sector.
- Worked as a key member of the team that represented the Central Bank of Nigeria in a landmark suit contesting its statutory authority to appoint board members of Nigerian banks, with implications for regulatory oversight and corporate governance in the financial sector.
